I discovered this photographer's work after researching photography trips to Norway and the Arctic Circle. It's there that Chris shot his latest campaign for the Smugmug website and where he photographed one of his greatest passions: surfing in its purest form. It's impressive to see how these professional surfers, accustomed to the sun on Californian beaches, perform equally well in waters that can be as hot as 2°C.
A photographer who has traveled the world in search of the perfection of a sunset, the perfect landscape. Many photographers have attempted to define landscape photography. Some believe that landscape photography is already a reality. Others continue searching for that perfect photo that expresses, without a single word, the beauty of a natural landscape. I'm left with one of the most famous quotes from Ansel Adams, the greatest landscape photographer of all time, who said: "Landscape photography is the photographer's supreme test and often the supreme disappointment.". The photographer tries to overcome this supreme test throughout his life, seeking perfection, until he understands that, as Imogen Cunningham said, "my favorite photograph is the one I will take tomorrow."
