The mist was lifting timidly that June morning in Bialowieza National Park. In front of us was a small group of bison, grazing peacefully, relaxed, but always alert to our movements.

At that moment, I realized that the entire group was looking at me, waiting for me to say something—any interesting fact, some curious detail about that species. And then I knew. I loved observing wildlife in its natural environment, sharing it with the curious ones who wished to join me on that journey.

Fotogario is a project that brings together my passion for nature, my love of photography, and my tireless desire to travel.

In fact, my passion for nature and for observing wildlife had begun long before. I was born into a family of shepherds and farmers from the Alto Tajo, and it was my parents who instilled in me that respect for nature and wildlife. Over the years, I added to the equation the need to share and protect what I loved so deeply. With time, the Alto Tajo became a Natural Park, and I grew up within it—observing wildlife, learning about animal behavior. Walking through its valleys, along the winding canyons of the Tagus, exploring its forests, climbing its hills...

Although I’ve explored nature reserves in several European countries, it’s on the Iberian Peninsula where I carry out most of my projects, and the Alto Tajo Natural Park feels like my second home.
