he autumn It is the season of color par excellence. Any photography enthusiast knows that the weather conditions of autumn (soft sunlight cushioned by clouds) and the natural evolution of the flora come together to provide very vivid colors and dim light, which produces practically no shadows or highlights. That's why in Fotogario We took advantage of an autumn afternoon to go out and capture those colors with our camera. Will you join us?

A few days ago I decided to return to one of my favorite parks in Warsaw, the Łazienki ParkI've walked through it and photographed it in winter, summer, spring... and I've found birds, squirrels, moles... But the other day the autumn light was perfect for taking another walk under its trees and experimenting with a different lens.

The truth is that my original idea was to walk, clear my head and hunt some of the animals that roam freely in the park, that's why I chose to go out with a goal zoom that day. But as I walked deeper into the park, I realized the photographic possibilities of the moment I had chosen.

Autumn offers us a spectacular array of colors, often enhanced if we're in a region with abundant rainfall and humidity. One image in particular remains etched in my memory: the lake, the trees, and a few seagulls (yes, seagulls in the middle of an urban park) coming down to drink water.

On my walk, I came across squirrels, seagulls, peacocks, small urban birds, and ducks—lots of ducks. But the autumnal color dominated every shot. Even so, I was determined to take full advantage of the zoom, focusing on the animals I crossed.

But I have to admit that in the end, color won out over the animals. Little by little, it began to get dark. With the loss of light, my camera (and my lens) were unable to capture clear images of the animals in the twilight. So AT LAST I focused on color.

At these latitudes, dusk falls really fast. You'll see it before you take your eye off the viewfinder, and the light has escaped through a tiny corner of the park's west wing, and all you have to do is force the camera's parameters to continue photographing.

So I found myself experimenting with the camera. What can you do when the light's gone and you're pushing the camera's parameters to the limit? Well, considering I had a zoom lens that was much less stable against the vibrations from my hands... well, yes, all I can do is take advantage of those vibrations even more and try to take more vivid photographs.

Friends, autumn is only going to last a moment (we're already seeing sub-zero temperatures here at night), so take advantage of the little free time you have to capture the colors of this fleeting season.
